Scrapbooking Retreat!

I can hardly wait, my SIL and I are heading to Erie, PA for a weekend long scrapbooking retreat!

Scrapbook workshopI caught the scrapbooking bug about 12 years ago when I was invited to my first Creative Memories class. For a year, I went faithfully to the monthly crops and worked on my albums. Then it dawned on me that I would probably save money if I became a consultant and purchased the supplies at cost! So I signed on and began to build a business. Jillian was only 1 at the time, and Becca had just started Kindergarten, so it worked out perfectly for me. I was able to be home with them, and conduct my classes and workshops in the evenings when Daddy was home to watch them. I was with CM for about 5 years, but decided to become a customer again when my girls became involved in too many after school activities and I felt like I was missing things with them because of classes and workshops.

Anyway, I don’t find a lot of time to scrap during the evenings because I hate to get everything out onto the dining room table, then have to put it all away when I’m done since I don’t have an actual Craft room. So, I look forward to these weekend crops a lot! I tend to get quite a bit done in the 3 days we are there!

My biggest fear is that I’ll gain 5 pounds over the weekend!  The women all bring lots of snacks and goodies to share while we crop.  I’ll have to make sure that I take frequent breaks and work less and walk more so that I don’t gain back any weight that I’ve already lost! lol!

So, I leave Friday for our weekend getaway! I’ll post some pictures of some of my pages when I get back.
